# Delete your RailDrishti account

To permanently delete your RailDrishti account and personal data,
you have two options:

## Option 1 — In the app (fastest)
1. Sign in to RailDrishti.
2. Tap **More → Profile → Delete Account**.
3. Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately.

## Option 2 — By email (if you can't sign in)
Email **support@bitcommtechnologies.com** from the email address registered to
your RailDrishti account, with the subject line *"Delete my RailDrishti
account"*. Bitcomm will verify your identity and process the deletion
within 7 business days.

## What gets deleted
- Login credentials (email, phone, password hash)
- Your profile (name, role, designation)
- Notification subscriptions and FCM device tokens
- Alarm acknowledgement records linked to your user id (anonymised, not
  deleted, because they are part of the operational audit trail
  required by Indian Railways policy)

## What is retained
- Anonymised audit logs of operational actions you took on assets
  (e.g. alarm acknowledgements). These are required for safety and
  regulatory compliance and cannot be deleted.
- Encrypted backups containing your data are retained for **30 days**
  before being permanently overwritten.
